Safe drinking water, vital for health
Norit Waterfront Series
“Halve, by 2015, the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation.”
(Millennium Development Goal 7, WHO)
Sufficient potable drinking water is the basis for a good state of health and therewith lives depend on it. However, more than one billion people don’t have, or have insufficient, access to potable drinking water. This results in the fact that many people suffer from diseases like dehydration and infections. This costs more than five million lives a year and daily thousands of children younger than the age of five. Herewith are water related diseases in Africa death cause number one!
The Norit Waterfront series is the ideal solution for a wide variety of applications where a centralized safe drinking water supply is not available.
The systems are designed to produce clean and safe drinking water without the addition of chemicals, either temporarily during humanitarian disasters or crisis areas, or as a more permanent solution in e.g. rural/remote villages and city hot-spots.
The capacity of these mobile purification units, range from 2.000 to 3.000 liters per hour. Each unit runs on direct electricity or a generator. The system is a fully automatic plug-and-play device with a one-button startup and doesn’t require a lot of maintenance.
The Netherlands and water are inseparable from each other and that makes Norit one of the worldwide market leaders when it comes to potable water solutions expertise.
The Norit Water Miracle – for long-term installations.
The Norit Water Miracle is the ideal solution for permanent or semi-permanent installations such as stationary units at work site or emergency backup for a municipality. Thanks to the durable plastic frame, the Water Miracle is developed to serve on the long term, whatever the weather conditions may be. Equipped with the unique Norit X-Flow ultra filtration membranes as a primary barrier, there are two versions available delivering either 2.000 liters or 3.000 liters of safe drinking water per hour. A range of optional post-treatment add-ons are available to meet specific needs. Depending on the quality of the source, an activated carbon and/or chlorine disinfection package can be added to serve as additional barriers.
Dimensions (m) and weight (kg): 1x1x2.2 and approx. 300 kg.
The Perfector-E – for emergency response.
The ruggedness of the Perfector-E with its integrated double barrier treatment system, makes this the ultimate emergency response water system regardless of the source water conditions. Designed to be mobile, the Perfector-E with its stainless steel frame and backwash tank, can be transported from location to location when needed. The Perfector-E is capable of providing 2.000 liters of high quality drinking water per hour. The included full service contract ensures the unit will be maintained properly for optimal performance while it is on or off duty.

Proper healthcare is forever
“The district hospital is part of a wider community of people and agencies, all of whom are working to improve the health of individuals, communities and society.”
(World Health Organization)
Many patients who present to district (first-referral) level hospitals require surgical treatment for trauma, obstetric, abdominal and orthopedic emergencies.
Often surgery cannot be safely postponed to allow their transfer to a secondary or tertiary-level hospital, but many district hospitals in developing countries have no specialist surgical teams and are staffed by medical, nursing and paramedical personnel who perform a wide range of surgical procedures, often with inadequate training. The quality of surgical and acute care is often further constrained by poor facilities, inadequate low technology apparatus and limited supplies of drugs, materials and other essentials.
All these factors contribute to unacceptable rates of mortality resulting from trauma, obstetric complications and non-traumatic surgical disorders as well as disability resulting from injury.
District hospitals should be able to manage all common surgical and obstetric procedures. However, the establishment and maintenance of effective district surgical services requires:
- Appropriate physical facilities
- Suitable equipment and instruments
- Personnel with appropriate education and training
- Practical continuing education programs in clinical management to maintain quality in care
B&L Solutions B.V. is able to offer full fledged, furnished turnkey healthcare facilities, such as district hospitals, as well as the medical supplies, staff training, maintenance and, when required, the management of the hospital.
Because hospitals always have to be adapted to the customers’ whishes. Therefore, please contact us for more detailed information.
The convenience, the quality
Lubberts Surgical Instrument Sets
Lubberts Surgical Instruments was founded in 1965 and is a supplier of high quality surgical instruments. In order to create swift solutions, it is very important to meet the customers’ needs.
Therefore, Lubberts Surgical Instruments launched in 2006 a line with over more than 200 different ready-to-use instrument sets for every discipline. This worldwide unique concept, makes it possible for specialists to order their surgical instrument sets at a glance.
The advantages for the specialists and the hospitals will be that it…:
- …saves time to order the different sets because they are already composed.
- …saves money, there will be no surplus and waste of instruments.
- …provides a more clear overview for financial and usage reports.
- …saves a lot of costs and time, which can be spent for what is most important: the patient.
“The quality of essential surgical care is frequently constrained by inadequate basic equipment to perform simple but vital interventions.”
(WHO Global Initiative for Emergency and Essential Surgical Care)
B&L Solutions B.V. responds on this statement of the World Health Organization by offering a critical inventory followed by a proper advice regarding the condition of the present equipment and surgical instruments. Often the material gets worse, because of the deficiencies in the equipment. By pushing for improvements and monitoring these improvements ourselves, we create again a high standard disinfection and sterilization method. We also offer a comprehensive repair program in order to repair the present surgical instruments in a simple, yet effective, way. After the repair, the instruments will be as good as new and can be used again for surgery. Unfortunately, many people are not aware of this cost-effective option.
For a detailed specification of the surgical instrument sets, please contact us. All the surgical instrument sets will come with a 10 year guarantee certificate.
